Foundations

Each foundation is engineered for your specific site and has a 3rd party inspection process to guarantee it is built to last.

 

Lot Prep Analysis

Before building, there are important things to consider including factors like topography, soil, drainage, and infrastructure. This analysis ensures optimal home placement, identifies obstacles, and enables efficient construction. Kurk Homes offers a detailed evaluation of your property including the specifics:

Engineered Framing

2 x 6 Exterior Wall Construction Combined with our Structural OSB Sheathing (not foam or denny board) provides increased structural integrity. Our exterior wall framing goes above the industry standard 2 x 4 with 2 x 6 lumber. Along with this, our floor plans are stamped by a Licensed Texas Engineer to provide extra peace of mind.

This combined with our engineered foundations and inspection process means your home is built to last. This unique approach significantly enhances the structural integrity of our homes.

Roofing Construction

Roofs and roofing structures are thoroughly inspected, and all lumber is spaced 16" on center or better to create a structure that can handle all forms of Texas weather.

We use a lifetime warranty composite shingle along with TechShield Radiant Barrier Roof Decking to help reflect heat away from your attic, keeping it cool and reducing your utility bill.

Energy Efficiency

We excel in energy efficiency with R-19 insulation in exterior walls, surpassing the industry standard of R-13. Validated and certified by a third party for exceeding Energy Star requirements, our low E3 vinyl windows further enhance energy performance. We are validated and certified by a third party to exceed energy star requirements.

HVAC

All Kurk Home builds come equipped with 16 SEER Air Conditioning Units, specifically designed to optimize cooling performance of your new home in the scorching Texas heat.
